Menolyrical - Words for Words' Sake - A REPOST

This image was snatched at Montrose Harbour on the train from Aberdeen to Edinburgh.  It seemed nothing... and then...

grey the day
rattling by
battleship sea
silvered the sky
mottled carpet
dappled ceil
bridge with blue
under wheel
land is lost
between the two
silos blank
awaiting crew
all seems naught
twixt ‘n’ tween
till bright flash
of yellow seen
but the train
pulls us on
we blink and
the bright is gone

We have had to say farewell to our darling diva, an elder of Blogville, Madison D Cat. We are sad, but none more so than her wonderfurs peeps. I shall be joining a memorial bloghop next week. If you knew Madi and have not heard about the hop, then CLICK HERE.

  1. It makes the picture very clear or blurry depends on how you see it.

  2. Crikey Aunty ...... how do you do that? I like the words better than the picture but I guess if the picture wasn't there I'd have trouble with the words, aye??

  4. Dear Aunty...I'm liking that pop of yellow.
Thank you so very much for the shout out about Come Laugh with Us. You know we were all about fun and gaiety and twerking. I come to you today from my newly designed header. I have decided to change the name of the blog to My Mind's Eye. Down Home In NC was always my address. I'll probably shut down the personal blog. Seems like less hassle.

I love your words...you are my hero Wordsmith.
    Hugs HiC

HiC, I think rebranding 'down home' is a good plan and there is no doubt at all that Madi would approve. ... you can transfer all your existing personal posts over to the preferred blog. Read HERE. That way you maintain your records. Yxx
