What You See Is What You Get. This is a journal blog, an explore-blog, a bit of this and that blog. Sharing where the mood takes me. Perhaps it will take you too.

Menofferingly - spreading the word

Some of you already know Ruby and her furmily over at My Rescued Life. They do a FABulous job of spreading the word about adopting not shopping for pets and all sorts of related matters. Last week, in case you didn't see it, she posted "15 more ways to help animals celebrate the holiday season" (the 'more' referring to the previous Spring post of similar theme).

Let me tell you, I was very taken with the choices and chances for each and every one of us to make a little difference in a critter's life. I have always been a 'bird feeder' and am ever alert on the roads, particularly around here where deer and lots of small critters have a habit of crossing when startled by headlamps. Yes, this is the sort of thing which counts as 'helping', but there are plenty of other things on offer over at Ruby's. I felt strongly enough about this to want you to go visit and read that post and find which one or more you can take on board yourself - go on, click that link above!!! I have gratuitously 'borrowed' Ruby's piccie to entice you!!!

  1. Ruby and her human are amazing!!! They do so much good for those furries that are so much less fortunate than we are. We will be doing our part to help a local shelter next week. Angel Pip must be so proud of Kristin and her family.

  2. We are also VERY big fans of Ruby and the kit-kats! What a wonderful post of hers to share. Ruby and her Mom do soooo much to help spread the word about what we can do to help pups less fortunate than us!

  3. Angel Pip (their first rescued dog) took Angel Madi to her very first dance...in fact...he might have taught Madi to twerk?! Just saying.

Before the big snow last week I bought extra special bird feed with berries and nuts in it and a suet bell with the same mixture the birds were beyond happy

  10. Oh, my, that little kitty pulled on my heartstrings! Do not need to have something that is a tripping hazard as I am not the most agile of creatures.
