Okay then, time for a skirl of the pipes and a bang of the drums! This is one of Scotland's top bands for playing traditional music in less than traditional ways. It's a very fine concert - but I do warn you, there is significant use of flashing lights in places, so you may wish to listen only if that is a problem for you.
Have fun tonight, be safe, be happy and most of all, be ready!

What talent!
ReplyDeleteOH my BagPipes....all I can say is those men playing the bagpipes must be in excellent physical condition to be able to play the pipes so vigorously while moving about to the catchy beat. I watched about it for several minutes. Love their outfits!!
ReplyDeleteHugs Happy New Year's Eve to you
HiC
I have to play this while bob is outside, fiddles, violins and bag pipes kill his hearing aid ears. flasing lights are not a problem. I love bag pipes, but lean more to Amazing Grace instead of this. I am Scot on mothers side and Irish on daddys, so pipes and dancing I enjoy... drums are my favorite instrument. I am listening while I type, and the second song reminded me of how much I love the pipes in war movies where they pipe them into battle... 3 of my four rings are celtic knots. the pipes now are at 9:32 and I am loving this one. I also love to listen to men from Scotland speak..
ReplyDeleteTake it from an old lady, those fellas sure can move the pleats on a kilt. And that's just the beginning of their skill.
ReplyDeleteMight need another day or two recovering from my long journey home from Mexico before I can fully appreciate this one!
ReplyDeleteCheers, Gail.
Happy Mew Year's Eve!

ReplyDeleteOoh, I saw they were in Ayr between Christmas and New Year (once I realised it wasn't the Red Hot Chili Peppers, it only took me about three weeks). I would have loved to go, perhaps some other time.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely one for my wish list and I have only just now seen/heard the first number!!!!
