WYSIWYG

What You See Is What You Get. This is a journal blog, an explore-blog, a bit of this and that blog. Sharing where the mood takes me. Perhaps it will take you too.

Menobittzle; Ide Not Known

The ides of March. Today. Middle-March, you might say. Or not. Am feeling a bit like a March Hare, that much I know. Eighteen days and counting till I take off for OZ.

Meanwhile, back in the Hutch; I had noted that the images processed and posted via the YAMroid looked a little pale, if not, indeed, a tad lacklustre on the bigger screen of Voovoo. [Note to self; allow the images to be darker than the eye requires on the smaller screen.] Whilst at the father's, I'd also attempted to transfer image files from the YAMroid, via the little hub, to a flash drive. It had worked previously but absolutely refused to do it again. If I haven't sorted that prior to travel, there needed to be another backup available. Therefore I had a go at uploading to G-Photos. It worked but took an age.

Now... right here and definitely now... am going to try and place a piccie here from that upload. Wait there...

HAH!!!
Brilliant. No angry bird here. Photos wasn't a selection choice on the import image tab, but I just typed 'photos' into the search line of the Add Image box and they appeared.

It just means that I can clear out the storage on the YAMroid as I go and don't risk losing anything. I shall be keeping everything on the SD card anyway (which I usually clear after uploading), so here's hoping.

On the matter of images taken thus far, it's currently around 250 and the battery indicator is only just showing one bar used - quite likely now it will start to run down more quickly. However, in the time that first juice has been used as much for viewing images back directly on the camera, so I am going to suggest that if I could cut that habit, there ought to be at least four if not five hundred image capability from each charge of the battery. The spare one I bought was not a Canon, but a 'pseudo', so it is possible it will not perform as strongly but am really quite happy with this.

  3. Eighteen days! It sounds like your preparations are well underway, photo-wise. And if the back-up needs a back-up, well at least it wouldn't be impossible to sort something out in Australia, one assumes.
    Love the birds today.
    Cheers, Gail.
