What You See Is What You Get. This is a journal blog, an explore-blog, a bit of this and that blog. Sharing where the mood takes me. Perhaps it will take you too.

Menoshiftery; unlining time

Okay, I wish to take you back a bit, to Adelaide again. I forgot a bunch of photos taken on the morning of the last day when we had an hour to fill in and it was too lovely to sit indoors. Not far from Sally's place is a branch of the University which deals with horticulture and agriculture and has beautiful gardens filled with the aroma of roses and camelias. There is a sculpture trail, too, but didn't have time to explore all of it. The garden was definitely influenced by the British settlers clinging to the homeland - but it does provide a proper little haven for weary souls.

Mind you, Sally's little courtyard garden has its own level of tranquillity, including this water feature which, she says, is a total mystery. It turns on and off of its own accord and not in any pattern that she can determine!

Tomorrow, I will bring you the various mural/mandala shots taken whilst in SA that I promised you a couple of weeks back.

Crikey, the Hisstix has been busy!!!

  2. agree with Ceil on the triple lovely. what a gorgeous place to go walkabout. seems to have it all. I have often thought how odd it is that people fleeing from one place to another, try to replicate what they left instead of blending in with the country or city they moved to... there are castles in USA that people built to look like the ones in Europe or some even took down stone by stone brick by brick and rebuilt here. love the porches on the building at the beginning.

  3. Such a lovely garden. We love all the different colors of roses. The fountain with a mind of its own is very nice - Mom's favorite shade of blue.
