Menoffroadery; Shout Out for Dunoon

Turns out one of my new pals on the Instything happens to live at the foot of my hill, right on the shore of Dunoon's West Bay. He's a chap who has travelled the world and has chosen this wee toon to settle down. He bought a run-down hotel, renamed it Puck's Rest, and is in the process of making it a centre for those who like the more extreme side of outdoor activities.

One of the things Josh has been instrumental in is getting a cross-country biking event to run and if you watch the video closely you'll see him and Nero, his collie, on their paddleboard then another very brief glimpse of Nero shortly after that. (The ferry seen here is NOT the Dunoon ferry, but the one to the Isle of Bute, so not sure what was going on with that. Well, sponsorship, I suppose and they do run the passenger ferry, just not that boat.... sorry, got distracted.)

Since moving to #dunoon and starting work on the hotel I've always had a vision for where we are heading. Well with @surlybikes @dirtdash_cc I feel like we're well on the way. This fledgling event is absolutely one of my favourite new #dunoon events. It's been an absolute pleasure to have the guys and gals here at my hotel over the past weekend. Its events like this that make me feel @pucksrest is getting the #identity and #vibe we have been #striving for. I'm already excited for next year!
