WYSIWYG

What You See Is What You Get. This is a journal blog, an explore-blog, a bit of this and that blog. Sharing where the mood takes me. Perhaps it will take you too.

MenoSundays; Life Lived Lovingly

The first fortnight probably seemed like a bit of a holiday for many. The third week it was beginning to wear a bit thin. Now faced with another three weeks, there are many who are getting 'antsy-in-the-pantsy', particularly as the weather has started to improve.

There are tales of groups starting to re-form as separation breaks down. On the whole, though, the UK population is being fairly well behaved and compliant with the lockdown.

The little touches of connection by other means are magnified now. Some warm and generous comments on my Thursday post that reached deep into my heart. A neighbour we did not even know before the lockdown, who has reached out to the residents of dad's street by telephone, called that very day and was an absolute joy to chat with bringing some mental respite - we hope to meet face to face. Eventually.

Then there are the pals who reach out behind the blog, through email and telephone. I luv yez mates! A card arrived from the Netherlands. It made me (and dad) grin broadly... as have the spring flowers which are abundant now and already starting to give way to the early summer ones.

All these small things set the world to rights. That and having been able to get some extra sleep in. The value of siestas has become fully appreciated!

Love of the capital 'ell' kind is abundant - it does no harm to be constantly reminded of it!
