What You See Is What You Get. This is a journal blog, an explore-blog, a bit of this and that blog. Sharing where the mood takes me. Perhaps it will take you too.
That shot of the Moon and Jupiter is lovely ... Also, just a thought ... So much has been and is, said and written, in awe of the Moon and moonlight ... but the Moon doesn't have a light of its own. It's the reflected light of the Sun! :-)
I always have a favorite! And today my favorite is the one that does photo is black with that partial Moon down in the corner. I just love love love that one. And they're all beautiful
What's wyrt Aunty YAM? Your moon looks so much better than any moon I've seen through the murky air over the south. I think I'd like to sit on your roof and 'read poetry' out loud to that moon. Furrings and purrings. Mr T (Oooo that just reminded me of a poem f read to me about an owl and a pussy cat... silly stuff but it had a moon in it)
Hari OM Good question, Mr T! The Wyrt Moon is also known as the Wort, Barley, Corn, or Red Moon - and is actually more often associated with August; but as you can see above, this moon was definitely deep pink, if not red!!! Often also called the Maid's Moon and is associated with getting wed (between sowing and harvest and the dryer months and all that...)
The Owl and the Pussycat is a fine poem to think of at this time, dear Tigger! Whiskeries, Yxx
How lovely! The kids took the grandies out until 10:30 to see the comet. It TOTALLY disrupted their sleep schedule. Drove me nuts! Anyway, surgery Friday. Long story. I'm scared and relieved, at the same time...
Oh YAM what breathtaking pictures of the moon and the most interesting plant in the last photo
