Menoizikul; Midweek Musicalisms

For the month of July, I bring you a category termed 'early music'. This covers the periods, Medieval music (500–1400) and Renaissance music (1400–1600), but can also include Baroque music (1600–1750). Again, I appreciate this is not to all tastes - but confess to it being my default listening.

Let us begin with an Estonian group who are also sporting some rather fine costume!

  1. Beautiful location, period dress and musicians. I liked it!!
As I have aged the violin has become a favorite instrument. Of course I've always loved blue grass and country
    music with fiddles.

  2. One of the grandsons has outstanding musical talent. He plays the baritone now, and he is very good at it. But he just got braces, and between his asthma and braces, he is struggling. Mom tried to convince him to think about a string instrument like the violin - he said no to that idea. Mom is with you - she likes this music very much. Thanks for sharing.

  6. Thank you so much Yamini for sharing this. I am not a music specialist, my knowledge is quite limited. But I do enjoy music. It's a nice idea to start a series on music, and a great start to it. Looking forward to the next.
