What You See Is What You Get. This is a journal blog, an explore-blog, a bit of this and that blog. Sharing where the mood takes me. Perhaps it will take you too.

Yesterday saw the letter "S" in the Martha Simpson affirmation alphabet. (Please note that this series has been given its own label here, of 'ABReflctions'.)

"T" = talk. Something most of us like to do on occasion. This isn't about the talking in the 'open' sense we saw earlier. This is the talk in the sense of social chatter, having a good old yarn, telling each other our stories of things seen and done and explored. The getting-to-know-you stuff so essential to building community and connection...

  3. Gosh! Mom says that our human brother Alex started talking when he was "really young" and that he's ALWAYS had a lot to say! He talks ALL the time! And Mom admits that she only listens to about half of what he says...
    Kozmo, talks a lot too!

  4. Face to face, talking is about so much than just the words and intonation; the body language also talks and we are all missing lots of practice in full communication this year.

  6. I like my talking in person and without a mask, so am not doing much talking, but before Chaos hit us, I talked a LOT.... the odd thing to me is that babies pick up whatever language they grow up hearing and if they hear two they learn two..

  9. I sometimes think I talk too much, but it is true we need connection.

  10. I talk almost every day to my 3 sisters. We each have the Marco Polo app. It allows us to 'talk' to each other. The app records a video of what ever you point your camera toward. So we 'go on walks, ride in vehicles, even may go to the loo in an attempt to get a room the is quiet to talk! Or we may be putting on our makeup and fixing our hair. After all is is just us four sisters visiting, checking on each other and encouraging each other through crisis or joys. Some days we even cry together. namaste, janice xx
