What You See Is What You Get. This is a journal blog, an explore-blog, a bit of this and that blog. Sharing where the mood takes me. Perhaps it will take you too.

Menoizikakkuls; Midweek Mesmerism

Welcome to a new year of different musical interludes to break up each week. This month there will be movement, also. I enjoy classical ballet well enough, but I have to confess my hankering is for more modern production. Experimental, even.

The music here was written by Ben Chatwin (aka Talvihorros) and is called Four Walls. The collaboration between digital artist Zachary Eastwood-Bloom and SB choreographer Nicholas Shoesmith results in "The Fates", which explores notions of autonomy and discrete control in a digital society... is it possible, even?

  1. This dance is very similar to the contemporary dance that the grands do a lot of. Our dancerina C excels at it, but then too she has also done very well with classical ballet. This performance was superb. The effect of the shadowing is amazing.
