  9. What a wonderful thought. Maybe us humans could use some of the light storage in our roots. The lilies make me remember a time when Mom had me clean the windows along the side of our home where day lilies grew very thick. By the end of the day I was itching all over. I had chiggers lined up around every place where there were folds in the skin. Back of knees, armpits, lines where undergarments hugged my body. The chiggers are a type of mite that live in foliage of all sorts. They do like humans, too! Too, much for my liking but I still love day lilies. namaste, janice xx
