Menopuzzling With Extras

Well, I might as well continue this February mini-break from the menoculayshunal posts, because it has reached Sunday evening here in the Hutch and I am out of thinking steam after a hectic Olympic viewing schedule... topped off by the Scottish lassies ...err... Women's GB Curling team getting their Gold Medal in the wee tiny hours of the morning. I had taken a three-hour lie in the dark before getting up at 0100h to watch the match - and returned to slumber at 0430h. At 1030h the eyes were open again - but the day has drifted... To prepare a post of any depth or meaningful value for Monday is a bit beyond me right now.

So here you are, reading on Monday as I offer you another jigsaw to keep you busy... and a piccie of a rather tasty winter warmer concocted on Friday; I had some frozen leek needing to be used. Sauteed it in my skillet with a good dollop of butter, then added diced tattie, half a can of butter beans, a teaspoon of powdered stock and two cups of water. This chowder resulted. I didn't leave myself any seconds...

Anyhoo, here's the puzzle offering some bright colour to cheer your Monday morning...

  8. Hi Yam - excellent Scottish ladies ... didn't they do well. The chaps did really well too - just sad they didn't make it - yet an amazing run. I love butterbeans - so delicious, while the soup looks amazing - wish it was on the stove right now! Cheers and recover ... Hilary
