Menoizikul; Midweek Musicalisms

I decided to have a little play around with Spooky Month! Intensive research for this curation has been undertaken...🤔...

Anyway, this first one is a song that was written by Andrew Gold in 1996. It had a suitably 'olde worlde' feel to it such that Disney took it on and matched it to a 1930s animation called...wait for it... The Skeleton Dance. (Someone got big bucks for thinking up that title...) Although Gold never indicated the source of his inspiration, other than needing a track to complete an entire album named Halloween, it is hard not to think that the film was his muse, so well matched is it. Needless to say, it lent itself very well to meme-ing online and here is a newly digitised version of the song and the short film.
