What You See Is What You Get. This is a journal blog, an explore-blog, a bit of this and that blog. Sharing where the mood takes me. Perhaps it will take you too.
Something a little more upbeat this week. Next week is Valentine's Day, and a lot of folk get all woozy over that. Thought I might bring you a song with which I am sure many will be familiar. This cover version is by Tommy Johansson, a Sabaton guitarist and vocalist. Here, though, he is doing his solo thing. Tommy is the tallest of the group, the youngest, and the most playful. There is always a glint in his eye and a smile lurking behind that veil of incredible hair! He creates all his solo vids in his spare room at home with a black sheet backdrop, two cameras and all his instruments. That's it.
Tommy is not only a talented musician but has an amazing tenor range in his voice. He did a whole vlogmas of festive songs, and I've become a big fan. There was lots of fun, but also some astoundingly good singing. I point you to this
traditional Swedish carol which he gives the full operatic treatment. But here today - let's get a bit nostalgic...
Yes, an amazing, powerful voice and even more amazing hair. If the music business stops working for him, he could always turn to advertising hair products! Cheers, Gail.
Agree with Gail, the voice is indeed powerful. It seemed an odd song to heavy metalify but it worked. Excellent musician and vocalist. WOW. Old song with a 21st century vibe Hugs Cecilia PS to MS comment. We had a graduate student from Argentina, Mattias, who had to be Fabio but younger. He had the most beautiful wavy hair. All the gals were in awe of it Hugs Cecilia
LOL - couldn't help but chuckle at Gail's comment. This song is special to me because one of my daughters did a solo dance to the version by Bonnie Tyler. This one is also very powerful and enjoyable.

ReplyDeleteI really like this one. He is really talented. He could give Fabia a run for his money if he decides to model for romance book covers...

Wow! What a rush! Awesome selection! He reminds me of one of my friends from Art School (a million years ago).

ReplyDeleteThat was great! thanks for sharing, namaste, janice xx
ReplyDeleteBoy, I really enjoyed this version! Bonnie's version was WAY over played back in the 80s...and I grew to dislike her version.
