Me-now-views; Less Speak More Peek
Yes, the return of the Tuesday posts - for a wee while, anyway! It really helped to get out of the Hutch and have dry days to visit Glasgow. First, though, I had to travel there by bus. As we drove through Port Glasgow, the recently erected monument to shipbuilding was glimpsed through the window. At the city bus station car park, there are some fantastical wrought-iron shields... and the St Mungo Museum building, on the Cathedral Precinct, is actually a new building, created in the traditional Scottish Medieval style. David Livingstone is remembered here, and beside him, one of the imposing walls of the Glasgow Infirmary.

I'm glad you had an adventure! Well done. I hope to read about more! xx
ReplyDeleteWe drove to Kingston for lunch with JB's friends of 50 years!
Great to see the Tuesday photos back. The bus station shields are rather striking. Seeing the Glasgow Royal Infirmary building, I find myself hoping that conditions inside the hospital are more modern than the grand Victorian exterior.
ReplyDeleteCheers, Gail.

ReplyDeleteOnce again we seem to be running backwards....We loved all of these and love that they span the creativity of mankind from rather older to rather modern embellishments for buildings and places we cherish. xxx Mr T and F
