WYSIWYG

What You See Is What You Get. This is a journal blog, an explore-blog, a bit of this and that blog. Sharing where the mood takes me. Perhaps it will take you too.

Menoffagainorrhoea; YAMster On The Loose

Well, not that loose. More that I have gone from the Hutch to a 'hoose'!

I had great fun watching all the comments roll in on Monday after the teasing post. One or two of you cottoned on! Others quite likely have not yet visited my mate Tigger and his peeps, F and Mr B. Earlier in the year, they invited me to come house sit (and cat care) while the peeps made a trip to the next-door country to the Great Down Under Parts... the Land of the Long White Cloud, aka New Zealand.

Not only was I honoured, chuffed and outright thrilled at getting to meet Tigger in the furs, but to have the privilege of being his temporary staff member for that wee while, was an offer that simply could not be refused.

To clarify, I did say "just about" as far south. So not Lizard Point, nor the Isle of Wight - though I was impressed by those guesses. If I were so inclined, I  could catch the bus and hop the ferry to IoW from here. Not that I plan on that... this visit, anyway.

Tigger is a venerable tabby cat of some 15 years who enjoys slow eating, slow-moving, long sleeping and bird watching. He has lush, thick furs of dark stripes and lovely green eyes. There are perches and pampered positions provided all around the home for his postural pleasure.

Tigger engaged F as his ghostwriter for a blog that has been running since 2012. In it, he shares all his adventures as a cat who travels, the cat about town, and the cat who visits beaches and markets. The cat who snoopervises in the garden and the allotment, and anywhere else an overseer is required... who travels by various modes of transport, such as The Donkey, a backpack and a van. Indeed, it was in the van that he came to meet and greet me at the airport on Sunday. Riding on F's lap.

In tomorrow's post, I will share some of the places Tigger likes to sit and ponder/meditate/nap. Meanwhile, here are some of the pretty flowers in the garden.

  6. A while ago I began to wonder- I just couldn’t see Tigger boarding anywhere and did wonder who his trusted friend would be - don’t laugh but your name went through my mind. And here you are, entrusted with the care of his loveliness himself.
Have fun the two of you…..and no teaching each other naughty tricks

  9. Welcome to 'down south' YAM-Aunty. I could take you to the Isle of Wigit - by hovercraft if you are game. I have never been in a hovercraft and would like to add it to my bucket list of 'means of transportation'. Furrings and purrings Mr T
