Menoturals; Saturday Sounds

The Crimson Rosella (sometimes called the Mountain Lowry) is a common enough sight even in suburban gardens. There were many around my place in Asquith, and they could get raucous at times. When they used their clear bell-like call, though, they are hard to beat for the sweetness of voice!

  4. When I contemplate the backyard birds of Australia, I drool at the memory. Stewart Monckton will be staying with me in November and he will find quite a different group here - many of them new and exciting for him, however.

  12. Such beautiful bird sounds! It makes me stop and pause and listen to the ones around me, as they will be less soon. Earlier the woodpecker was laughing. Looking at your week, I was thinking, there is nothing more frustrating than when tech doesn't work correctly. I hope these issues are resolved soon. Thinking of you in your cozy hutch!
