This will be the penultimate offering from the Great Down Under Parts birdlife for this year. I shared with you one of the many Cockatoos that are to be found in OZ... I thought you might like this short film which explores many of the others and tells you a bit more about them.

Just lovely! Australia is full of unique and enigmatic creatures, none more so than their parrots and cockatoos. I love them all.

ReplyDeleteI like the gray with pink hat on, the cane I think it was called. looks like the gray parrot at Jungle gardens but it is a parrot not a cockatiel. the black one is gorgeous! and my favoriete, althought the 2nd multi colored ones are a close second. sorry i forgot their names. I had no idea they came in any color other than the white ones, since that is all i have ever seen

ReplyDeleteI've seen cockatoos in zoos here in the U.S. and also used to let one perch on my shoulder while I worked at a vet's many years ago. His name was Sidney.
