What You See Is What You Get. This is a journal blog, an explore-blog, a bit of this and that blog. Sharing where the mood takes me. Perhaps it will take you too.
It's Nature Friday, as well as FFF. I would like to bring you info boards from the Drumpellier visitor centre that describe the importance of bogs in ecology. And a few pretty pictures of the waterfowl!
That first photo is absolutely stunning when I got to the bottom I went back up and looked at it again. It’s a work of art! I want stroke and a highway in Indiana through a pig bark and boy did it stink and now I’m wondering does your dogs stink too
Hello, What a nice place to visit, is that a boardwalk in the second photo. Love the gulls, geese and the swan family. Great info on the bogs. Take care, have a happy day and a great weekend!
Interesting reading about the bogs. And as always, you gave us some wonderful photos of the waterfowl.
ReplyDeletePlenty of fowl there. And lovely scenery. Thanks for all the info!
ReplyDeletewow interesting... and we LOVE the first photo... that is something what should be in NG ...

DeleteI suspect you're mixing up bogs with marshland. Bogs generally don't smell strong, but marshland most certainly can. Yxx
Very interesting facts with beautiful photos of nature! Love the swan family!

ReplyDeleteHi Yam - I see Drumpellier is very special ... thanks for telling us about it and sending me off to look at it - cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteInsomlove that first shot...and very interesting reading.
ReplyDeleteBogs - true bogs, that is - are among the most fascinating ecosystems to visit. I have had the pleasure in several countries.
ReplyDeleteSounds like we could use some bogs around here.
ReplyDeleteIn different ways, Gail and I both can claim to have a PhD in bogs!
ReplyDeleteToodle-oo!
