What You See Is What You Get. This is a journal blog, an explore-blog, a bit of this and that blog. Sharing where the mood takes me. Perhaps it will take you too.

SPLISH SPLOSH! Gail gave approval to my taking this short video of her swimming against the deep current of the River Dee - all her effort is into staying more or less on the spot... which equates to running on a gym mill, methinks! Beside me, Nobby had a dook then shake (forgive the slightly dizzying movement as I attempted to spin around without landing a full flop into the water myself!)

That ended too soon. Lovely scenery.
ReplyDeleteThe Olympics have nothing on this!
ReplyDeleteLoved the ending!
ReplyDeleteWonderful, especially the close-up of Nobby!
ReplyDeleteThank you. The video confirmed what I already sort of knew - I don't lift my left arm high enough when doing front crawl and the leg action is inconsistent. (That's what comes of teaching yourself the stroke using a book from Brixton library in your late twenties!)
ReplyDeleteCheers! Gail.

Delete... you see training video... I see gratitude I didn't have to throw that branch out to drag you back to shore! The video shows up the strength of the current even more than was obvious at the time. Your stroke served you just fine!!! Yxx
Are you two coaching Gail up to a triathlon? She cycles, took up running the chase Nobby around his agility course and now the pair of you (your goodself and Nobby) are overseeing the swimming component.
ReplyDeleteGail is quite the swimmer and we loved your close-up, Nobby!
ReplyDeleteGail is a good swimmer! Cute photos of Nobby! Take care, have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteI am so much more familiar with lakes than rivers. This looks delightful! XX
ReplyDeleteGail is a great swimmer, I can't swim because I will not put my face in the water. there are many here who have pools that are only about 10 feet long and when turned on, they swim against the current like Gail is doing but never move.. if we had a ton of money we would get one for bob. my favorite today is the mega close up of the great Nobby
ReplyDeleteAMEN Gail is a great swimmer such OIympic form too.
ReplyDeleteNobby did you go splish splashing too or were the designated Life Guard.
Love the close up of you
Hugs Cecilia
I don't know which I like more, the river sounds or the close up of Nobby!
ReplyDeleteGail sure had to work hard just to stay in one place! We like Tigger's Mum asking if Gail is preparing for a try at a triathlon in the future. BOL!
ReplyDeleteThat's great, Loved ending of this video cute Nobby :)
ReplyDeleteSwimming against 'weak' current is great exercise (not against strong current)! Well done! Lift that left elbow a bit more. :D
