These are glimpses taken from El Anatsui's works, exhibited in Edinburgh this summer. For more on this and links, see last Thursday's post! There will be more of these next week, too... I was just so absorbed in the patterning, the flow, the colouring...
I like all of these but lean just a little towards the last one as my favorite. he is truly gifted and I bet he has a lot of cuts on his hands and fingers. I can't believe the patience he has to put all this together. I would sit and stare at all of these
