Menoodling; Mellow Monday

A time-out sort of post... last day of September and autumn well and truly hunkering down. A time to breathe, to slow and pay attention to the little tucked-away things. Change the wardrobe, haul out the thermals...

  1. Mellow Monday here in the Gail and Nobby household, after a busy couple of weeks. Not yet quite time for the warmest of the winter coats!

  3. When the woods are full of fungi it’s a wonderful time of the year, and yes, it does herald colder weather. Not at all unwelcome in my world.

  6. Oh yes YAM ...to September 2024 I say farewell, so long, good riddance. May you have better manners in 2025.
We are still having 80's and humid but the weather blabbers say that will end soon. I eagerly await fall temperatures.
We are still in denial over Seaboard...but this too shall pass
    Hugs Cecilia

  9. Our temps have been above average and late summer still seems to be hanging on. No change in clothing going on here yet.

  10. We have had erratic temperatures here in Paradise! Yesterday morning it was balmy enough that by the time I got home, the jacket I had on walking Nutmeg, was tied around my waist. This AM the frost was thick enough to look like a dusting of snow and I needed a toque to keep my ears warm! Life here is so very busy these days! If I had known that retirement would have me working longer hours than work did, I would have kept working (and getting the pay check). I must say that I do enjoy what I do now, way more than before. I have so enjoyed reading about your adventures! Keep on Truck'n! Barbie

  14. Not so mellow Monday here as F embarks on a week of 'cutting ties' to UK. Crikey it adds up when you start making a list of all the things you need to extract yourself from. Furthermore, nothing seems to be able to be resolved on the first phone call or email - it is all much more complicated than that. In all my moves over the years I have never had to leave such a complete audit trail to signal my intention to be domiciled somewhere else.
