What You See Is What You Get. This is a journal blog, an explore-blog, a bit of this and that blog. Sharing where the mood takes me. Perhaps it will take you too.
Hi Yam - it always amazes me at people's creative thoughts ... these are amazing ... and yes I'd love to have visited ... especially the aboriginal one ... perhaps more came from that artist ... the ideas expressed are extraordinary ... cheers Hilary
Hari OM Nothing here is Aboriginal (if you were referring to Australia). El Anatsui is an 'aboriginal' of Ghana, living most of his adult life in Nigeria. You can see all the photos of his workon this linkIn particular, The Art of Seeing Sweetly, in which I relate the most about this incredible artist. Hope you are keeping well. YAM xx
Hari OM Surrealism could be applied to these works, for they do make the viewer work at delving into them... However, El Anatsui's work is considered contemporary art, and is often categorized as sculpture and assemblage. His art is also associated with the junk art and post-minimalism art movements. In the end, do not try for understanding, but appreciation... Yxx
The exhibition that keeps on giving.
