What You See Is What You Get. This is a journal blog, an explore-blog, a bit of this and that blog. Sharing where the mood takes me. Perhaps it will take you too.

Menoizikul; Midweek Muscalisms

Well, new month, new guest "poster". David Gascoigne is one of my long-term followers and commenters, and he came up with a few suggestions in response - reaction! - to the January Jazz tunes. He is much more your Classical cove. For those interested in birds/nature, David's blog, Travels With Birds, is highly recommended!

So, in February, we will start with a movement based on David's suggestion of Schubert's Trout Quintet. It's a promise of spring around the corner, of nature flirting along, and of joy in the heart.

  2. I've never see a live player of the double bass. That instrument baffles me for reasons I know not.

  7. I imagine if I had David and all the other comments listen to my favorite country song, they would feel like I did listening to this. I felt the opposite all the 4 comments above mine... sorry David. I did like the piano in the middle

  9. Joyful music -- when the piano came in, I could picture the trout jumping in the river. Not sure if this was the composer's intent, but that's the beauty of music. We can enjoy it in all our different ways.

  12. Everything around us seems to be quite stressful lately, so this lovely quartet was quite welcome. And very relaxing. Thanks to you and David for sharing.
