Today is also First Friday, and I can share a trailer clip for a film I watched recently that is 100% suitable as a Nature Friday candidate!
Many of you will mostly know Rachel Ward from the days of The Thorn Birds, where she met and married the actor Brian Brown. This film tells how the farm they bought together, mainly as a hobby/holiday place, has become her passion. In this amazing story, we learn about Regenerative Farming - which is, for all intents and purposes, a return to the methods of centuries past, but with science to support and ratify it.
This independent Australian-produced movie was available to me on BBC iPlayer in the UK. However, if you cannot access that, you may find it on something like BritBox or whatever channel you can access documentaries. In some areas, it may also be available on Amazon. What I will say to you is - CHASE IT DOWN! There is everything to love about this tale of working with nature rather than seeking to dominate it.
Texturally beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI shall hunt that out. The trailer is definitely enticing.

ReplyDeleteI watched the trailer and will look for the film. I'm filled with admiration for Rachel and the hard work she's taken on. Living in the country, I see first hand what climate change has brought and it has in some ways changed me too.
ReplyDeleteThat looks like an intersting documentary, but so far I can't find any way to watch it in the USA.
