Menonday Art Vibe; The Glasgow Boys Intro

The Glasgow Boys - and yes, there was a Glasgow Girls movement, too! - were very important to the progress of art, not just in Scotland but internationally. I have shared one or two painters from this art school earlier, but today, before presenting three of my personal favourites, I would invite you to watch this very short précis film from the National Gallery collection to get a better feel for what it was all about.

    its so great how creative the artists were when they acted as a group ort movement... or favorite is j. guthrie... he showed life in the past better than any photo...
