First, I'll share an item that was bought here, but produced as a result of the young Scottish artist having had a six-month residency in Delhi. There was a larger piece, which also had appeal, but not to the same extent as this smaller one, which contained so much that I could identify with... architecture, landscape, hints of the flora and fauna, as well as snippets of paper bearing the Devanagari script of Hindi and Sanskrit.

Amazing art work.

What a beautiful piece of art.
ReplyDeleteIt is lovely!
ReplyDeleteWe hope you (and Mac1) are enjoying the Birthday Week! What a glorious painting! The artist has truly captured the "Personality" of India! Where I lived in Vancouver was part of the Indian Punjabi Sikhs enclave (over 65% of the poplation) and my condo was just across a cranberry field from a large temple. I miss the celebrations - especially Vaisakhi and Khalsa celebrations which happened 2 weeks ago). They are the largest outside of India. And there is so much of that lovely orange colour. Thanks for sharing your painting! Barb
ReplyDeleteGreat composition and exciting colours - I can see the appeal (and have never been to India)
