WYSIWYG

What You See Is What You Get. This is a journal blog, an explore-blog, a bit of this and that blog. Sharing where the mood takes me. Perhaps it will take you too.

Me-now-view (it must be Wednesday)

Another wee 'to do list' interlude for the piccie day.  Thought I'd share some of Taronga Zoo with you.  Not a huge fan of zoos, but accept that we need research facilities and breeding programmes to for preservation. This Sydney city facility has the added benefit of prime views....

More of these later!  All photos copyright to Yamini Ali Maclean.

  1. I remember the Taronga Zoo from my visit to Oz in '82. A wonderful place where animals don't appear to be in uncomfortably small cages, although they're far from wild.
Love your photo of the sleeping koalas. I had a koala sleeping on me almost as soon as we arrived in Queensland, before I'd had any sleep myself. I could have sat down and snoozed with it, but my brother and our friends wanted to eat. Pie and peas after two days of no sleep was a real shock.

  2. Talk about a zoo with a view, Yam. :-) I used to hate zoos in the days of tiny cages, but conditions have improved and like you I recognise the necessity for them.

Sorry for my recent absence from commenting, but computer time has been limited....

  3. You know what I'm thinking. Haven't heard a peep from the one who suggested you to do the list. C'mon Aitch, waiting!,,,
