 ...an oldie but a goody.  It's also eminently true; this is proof.  When you are raised above the grime and gloom you see how the sun reflects on the other side.

 So rise, rise, rise
in your personal skies
no matter how dark you think it seems,
know the sun without fail above you gleams.

    And some silver linings are great. Rain has been forecast for where I live (dark clouds, literally), but my sister is here (silver lining, several in fact!).
