WYSIWYG

What You See Is What You Get. This is a journal blog, an explore-blog, a bit of this and that blog. Sharing where the mood takes me. Perhaps it will take you too.

Menozplorer (men-oz-plor-er); exploring one's DownUnder residence during meno!

This is by way of a sort of menosukhi also - yes more on the ducks!

Down at the low end of the park the creek widens into quite a large, pond-like pool.  Here I found three of the five ducklings doing their own 'thing'.

This one was happy going round in circles, constantly dipping it's beak and head under the water in search of morsels from the silt.

As pretty as its mother.  Such symmetry in those feathers.

Two other ducklings were standing on the grating weir which keeps debris from the creek washing onto the road when in full spate - as happens every time there is major rain. (You saw that in Monday's post.)

This one then took off onto the road side of the grating when it noticed me standing behind the third bush on the left bank.  Dratted YAMarazzi again!

Meanwhile, at the top end of the park, Mama Duck still had two with her and she was keeping a close eye on them.  As you read on Monday, they came up the steep bank very fast to meet me.  Then off they went and guddled around the grasses for bugs and seeds and whatever else was tasty.  One kept wriggling its beak from the base to the tips of the long grasses - clever little ducky!

Hey there Pudds - definite cutability here. Not sure they are amenable to minionship however. Rather more your free spirits I think!! Anyway, you've got mum...&*>
