(Start one day back so's to keep up...)
As we passed the Fitzwilliam, we came upon the very first and original college, Peterhouse (founded 1284). The chapel was another outstanding building, and the quadrangle exquisite.
Our next call-in was the High Anglican church of Little St Mary's.
There was an immense sense of peace here (not that others lacked!) and we lingered a while in the little side chapel dedicated to the Virgin.
Out we trundled again and headed for the Bridge of Sighs (passing by Queens College on the way). It turned out however, that we had been fortunate till this moment to have entered a couple of the colleges. All were now closed due to graduations and other ceremonies. The only bridge on offer then was Mathematical. Just up from where one may take a punt.
That ticked off our list, we headed back a bit and into St Botolph's Church before heading along the side of Corpus Christi - was able to snatch a shot of the quad but as now closed, had to make do with taking a photo of a photo of the chapel...
(I should mention that St Botolph's was the chapel for Addenbrooke's Hospital - as related to me by Aitch.)
Then onwards past Kings and round to the church of Greater St Mary's...Am only giving you this outside view for today. The inside had some special stuff which tied in to another church much later in the day.
Patience - we haven't even got to lunch yet!

Just such a wonderful place, Cambridge. Just think of all those amazing minds who have resided there. Awesome.
