What You See Is What You Get. This is a journal blog, an explore-blog, a bit of this and that blog. Sharing where the mood takes me. Perhaps it will take you too.

Over at Murphy and Stanley's place it is last Friday of the month story day... click to read more!!!.

They give us a prompt sentence, which we have to weave into our tale (highlighted), but the story can go anywhere it wants to... the approach on MY TAKE TOO is to use photo prompts so for this theme I seek to do my usual but incorporate the FFHT prompt as well.

There it was.

The River Furz. Vast, fast and gobbler of dogs.
Humans, cats and even a crocodile or two, come to that.

It had taken weeks to find my way here. Through city streets so built up you'd never guess any river was nearby.  Dusty and grey and over-run with the detritus of life. Through endless fields, equally bleak and ordurous, containing struggling shoots trying to prove life was still worth the effort.

Past ferocious wheeled beasts and pitiless men so greedy of their territory. Ungenerous, unyielding.

For all its challenge, the journey was still a good one. Food was found.  Words of encouragement made. Disbelief from my peers as to my purpose. There was something to prove. I knew there was no turning back now.

I had to take the bath Radha made me promise before she would become my mate.

  2. What a atmosphere this tale creates. And as Dory says, it contains much to ponder.
