WYSIWYG

What You See Is What You Get. This is a journal blog, an explore-blog, a bit of this and that blog. Sharing where the mood takes me. Perhaps it will take you too.

Menoresearch; Participatory Science

Am still getting settled after the intensity that was A-Z. Am also on my way over to Edinburgh again. Just haven't had time to sort the piccies from last week's trip away. Next week, I promise.

Whilst on the overnight with Mac1 though, we had a fair old giggle looking through the listings at Darwin's Dogs... not heard of them? Click that link then. Here was a fave of ours.

Shirley Brisket

Shirley Brisket is a wonderful little maniac
One of Shirley Brisket's Quirks: Shirley launches her body onto the couch like a cannonball.
What Shirley Brisket Does Best: She loves everyone. She's always the star of the park. When we first got Shirley from the shelter, she had been shaved in various spots and was generally fluffy and scraggly in equal parts. I was walking her through our neighbourhood past a group of teen girls who were sitting on the porch(looking at their phones) and one looked up, raised an eyebrow and said, not too unkindly, "Mm-mm, that dog's making a fashion statement." (Then looked directly back at her phone.) Shirley trotted on.

NOW HERE'S SOMETHING FOR ALL YOU PAWRENTS OUT THERE TO GET INVOLVED IN... I did this survey and it was great fun. It is only running for a short time, so get your fingers working. It is called MuttMix and is a citizen science project related to Darwin's Dogs.  Click the image to go through and read all about!

Or here, if that didn't work...

  2. Ohhh a survey we must hurry over. Mom saw the cutest Mutt at lunch today.
She and Dad were eating outside at their favorite cafe, Seaboard Cafe. Pups are allowed on the outside dining area.
The most adorable dog was leading her owner to a table, she name was Scout. So cute such a smile and happy tail.
Mom asked his owner the breed, a mutt he said but we thing some Wirehair Fox Terrier which I agree face and snout shaped like Bertie, with a little wire hair. coloring and tail like a yellow lab and body much like a Corgi.
Her owner said she was a social butterfly

  9. mutt mix is pretty cool, i have been owned by 17 dogs in my 73 years, and every single one of them was a true mixed breed mutt... and most of them just looking no one would have a clue...
