What You See Is What You Get. This is a journal blog, an explore-blog, a bit of this and that blog. Sharing where the mood takes me. Perhaps it will take you too.

Yesterday saw the letter "V" in the Martha Simpson affirmation alphabet. (Please note that this series has been given its own label here, of 'ABReflctions'.)

With "W" we are again pointed to the necessity of exercise and movement! I am one who is challenged in the best of times, due to arthritis, but I do love to have a bop to Bhangra and I do have my exercise pedals... and I do actually love a walk, even if I can't go very far these days!

  3. Walking is a must here, both for the dogs and for the human. I could walk for miles and miles if it weren't for the darn hills. With three dogs, I must say I do get my exercise. But maybe not today - hot and humid followed by much cooler days starting tomorrow. Bring it on.

  5. These days walking has been difficult. I tore my Achilles tendon last year at the beginning of the move back to Midway. It was a horrible year and I will not get a chance to get it looked at until next week. I used to love walking and I am so looking forward to being able to walk again.
    |Thanks for this series, I have been learning a lot

  8. We just got back from our walk where we saw the beginnings of autumn color. The air smells so wonderful and will only get better as autumn progresses.

  9. Before the pandemic we were going to the YMCA and swimming in the pool 5 days a week and 6 days a week I was walking my mile. For the past 6 months I think I have walked maybe six times. And we got went 4 months without going to the swimming pool and now for 2 months we go 3 days a week and this morning we were discussing that we need to go back to five days a week because we don't do anything else but so far we haven't done it

  10. We love to walk here. The plan this afternoon is to go in the woods behind the house.

  12. My, my. I can see by my Fitbit step counter I did walk on Sunday early afternoon. Now if I could only remember if I was inside or outside. When I do laundry I fold or hang each piece as I walk to where it is to be placed. I keep that walking going till all is put away properly. Even in my small apartment the steps add up some days over 2 miles, 3 - 4 km. Keeps the old gal movin'. When I can do outdoor walking it seems to have a deeper positive affect on my mental state.
