On Thursday we saw the letter "C" in the Martha Simpson affirmation alphabet. (Please note that this series has been given its own label here, of 'ABReflctions'.)
With "D", we are advised to take 'downtime'... yes, well, during cares, that is getting to be harder and harder... but I guess I am using my crochet now for the distraction and 'balance' within my current circumstances.
My downtime is reading and sewing...

Downtime is so very important. Lately I find my best downtime is when I walk peacefully with one of the dogs.
ReplyDeleteI often get in flow with some of my work. I also flow in a good book. I need more hands on, screen free flow.
ReplyDeletePuzzles are my favorite downtime activity.
ReplyDeletei do downtime most of the day every day. I read and leave home completeyl. also when editing photos or playing in lunapic or other software, i don't even know what is going on. sitting here in the rocker, bob is watching TV and he will say did you see that? no, i did not, i blank it all out.
ReplyDeleteOur girls have gone back home. NOW I have some down time!

Reading. Finding shows about travel. We found one channel on ROKU that is named "Armchair Tourist, Where are You?" Hubby and I watched for well over an hour as videos of different locations across the earth. About 30 seconds into each video the location would appear in the corner of the screen. Great fun just seeing how many places we could recognize or guess. Like being on a road trip without the expense of petro! namaste, janice xx
