Yesterday saw the letter "F" in the Martha Simpson affirmation alphabet. (Please note that this series has been given its own label here, of 'ABReflctions'.)
"G" is something that has grown a lot as a meme in social media. At times I feel the word and meaning are little disempowered by such use and the giving of 'lip-service' to it. To genuinely feel gratitude can actually take some effort. I really like Martha's advice here...
The weather is beautiful so I am out on the porch and will use my iPad

Ahh, something I do try to do in my head fairly often. It can be very comforting.

ReplyDeleteGratitude is important.
ReplyDeleteI can produce a fairly long list, but write so slowly I forget number two. The good point is, I know they are there.
ReplyDeletechllenge accepted!!!! that's a good way to reflect and to ponder about gratitude...
ReplyDeleteHi YAM-Aunty. Thankyou for reminding Gail to be grateful for me. Although I would prefer it if that gratitude were expressing in a more tangible way than writing a list which reads Bertie, Bertie, Bertie, Bertie, Bertie.
ReplyDeleteToodle pip!
Bertie.
I'm grateful for bacon, shrimp, beef, chikken, Fancy Feast, nip . . .
ReplyDeleteGrateful for people who keep me sane and grounded in bad times and good. Thanks for the reminder.
ReplyDeleteI am grateful for the home that I live in and I thank those 2 special loved ones every single day.
ReplyDeleteStill laughing at Lonestar cats answer and list. If I was making of list of things I'm grateful for man would be long to. It's a great way to think about how blessed we are in all this chaos we're living in
ReplyDeleteGratitude is so spiritually energizing ~ Am grateful for it all ~ Life. ^_^ Death ^-^ ~ Full Circle ~ the Neverending story ....Live each moment with love,

It's great to have a series to follow like this (and I'm grateful), and we know you are swamped in care-giving, but we also seek a little reassurance every so often that you are OK, keeping head above water so to speak. Mr T is grateful that the daytime temperatures are dropping a bit. F will be grateful when his fur-shedding slows down to manageable levels again! Furrings and Purrings from us both.

I have turned my morning meditation into a gratitude practice. This is week 1 so we will see how it goes.
