Menoizikuls; Midweek Musicalisms

Last of this month's visit to the land of the harp. This week I bring you a friend and the Scottish Clarsach. Elinor Evans. She was one of The Maestro's best friends and remains a family pal - indeed, Mac1 is taking sporadic lessons from Eli. She teaches, composes (this is her own that I bring you today) and plays at weddings (but has done other things - like at dad's funeral). You can read all about her HERE.  Also, if you can't watch the video here, click through... it's filmed in her parent's garden.

The piece was composed for her mum...
Once my mum and I were our for a very snowy dog walk and we ending up coming down the very steep hill, my mum thought safety first she would bum shuffle down the hill....but she was wearing waterproof trousers so went whooosh all the way down the hill....Bedging literally means Bottom Sledging!!

  7. What a lovely piece. We agree with the weim brothers that it is a very modern sounding song for a harp.
