Menogoggled; It Looks Well

The late father's home finally went to market on Monday. Mac1 forwarded the link to the promo video the realtor has created. The old place has brushed up very tidy indeed. Gone are all the cobwebs, the dust marks on the walls from picture frames, the space-sucking self-built unit in the kitchen corner. That kitchen scrubbed to sparkling, walls of other rooms brushed over with emulsion and the gloss paint touched up to cover all the desperate dings from the electric chair that dad insisted he was still 'licensed' to drive. He would be proud of the efforts of my siblings, and rightly so. I admire all the work they've put in to clear out the 40 years of stuff and clutter and bring the flat up to standard. The true end draws ever closer...

  4. I lost count of bedrooms (3? plus that ensuite room?) It has lovely natural light, and beautiful garden space front and back how could that not sell instantly. Best wishes for a 'happy' sale - one with no unreasonable demands from a buyer who offers A then wants to drop it to A-, no chain shenanigans, and a quick closure. It has clearly been a well loved and will be a beautiful home for a family. xxx Mr T And F

  6. It's just beautiful. We hope it sells quickly for you. September 7th marked the 5th anniversary of my mom's passing and I remember like it was yesterday cleaning out her house and finding homes for all of her lovely things that she collected over the years. It's not easy. Hugs♥

  7. It's really lovely and I like all the colors and it looks sparkling clean and ready to move in. I love the kitchen and that window where you could sit and have breakfast and look out the window and the bathroom is really beautiful now. They did a super job and I wish for you a quick sale and one that will be exactly what you want for it. I'm not sure what your Market is there but in the market here it would sell quickly

  8. Having gone through a similar emptying and preparing for sale, I admire how clean and pretty each room is, and I understand how much effort went into the house's "renewal." I am certain more than one buyer will jump at this chance.

  10. Hi Yam - they've done a really good job - and yes it does look well prepared. It's really quite huge too - all the best for a quick sale. Sad to see it go - but so lovely the family have given the flat the best send off it could have. All the best - Hilary
