For my own contribution today, I am taking one of the blocks from a larger artwork I made several decades back. You saw the whole thing on Me-Now-Views this week. Something within stirred... and I realised by the end that I had composed my own version of the Nasadiya Suktum (Creation Hymn).
sound made itself known
light followed
Matter shattered regathered
heat and dust emerged
planets formed
Chemistry Alchemistry
fire steam and brimstone
vulcan voices
Water drips miracle stuff
creationary
bringing life
Risings and fadings many
empires came and went
all hollow
There is no eternity
but that of the void

NB; I have been having a lot of trouble with connectivity on certain sites and general processing on OctoKan... it seems that Chromebooks are prone to this kind of system slowdown. It is, quite literally, a drag. It has meant that my visits and any commenting on your blogs is somewhat interfered with - please know I am not abandoning you, but might have to be a bit less 'in view' until I can figure out improvements...
Hello there
ReplyDeleteI’ve dug out some old images and wove some words round them
Hopefully they fit the bill
Take care

Surreal!
ReplyDeleteSadly Bertie Boffin is no longer around to challenge the creation account! And Nobby is currently too busy bombing around the kitchen to care. Gail loves the piece of artwork.

Delete...Bertie would question the Big Bang??? For that is what the Nasadiya Suktum describes... Yxx
I see it like you in the last sentence...
ReplyDeleteI am thinking your problems with chromebook are problems with the internet. I am having them also on Chromebook but equally on my windows 11 desk top. some places it refuses to go, errors, slow loading, even the smart phone is having creepy things happen. yesterday working in PicMonkey on desk top, I kept getting error can't load page, try again, then it would load, it has never done that in the past.
ReplyDeleteI believe there is life after death and we do not go into a void
Your artwork and words are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYAM you art and your poetry WOW. Might you consider publishing a book?
ReplyDeleteHugs Cecilia
I can almost see the Big Bang through your words!
ReplyDeleteI am really enjoying these "long ago" artwork pieces with colors and textures!

ReplyDeleteHooray for connectivity issues. Yuck.
