A DAY IN THE NIGHT...
An evening sky drops to dark
the YAMster's up with the proverbial lark
or earlier, really, and looked on high
to see a fulling moon beaming bright
Saturn and Venus in the dawning light...
oh the wonders of the sky!
You'd be forgiven thinking deja vu... but no, this was yet another wonder sunset eve |
Not quite the mellow Harvest Moon, but showing its intention |
no tripod so a little shake on the actual planet - but if you look closely (biggify!) you can see the 'echo' Saturn in the double glazing, which thrilled me more than it probably ought... |
It amazing we are an ocean apart. But we see the same beautiful planet.

A lovely sequence. I looked and looked at the first two for what you described, oh yes, down in the forth or fifth. And, hooray for Uranus.
ReplyDeleteUranus was a real bonus. Excellent shot. We particularly like the one immediately above it. Fz and Pz Mr T and F
ReplyDeleteAwesome series of photos
ReplyDeleteMagnificent photos. You have to live in a cloudy part of the world to truly appreciate the wonders of a clear night sky!
ReplyDeletewow that is like magic... and we missed the special thing at night (like always)
ReplyDeleteThe sky paints the most beautiful pictures. Love that sunset!
ReplyDeletesky watching is a wonderful thing, and you captured in this series all different lights and shadows, stars and moons, planets and beauty
ReplyDeleteA lovely series. I read that it would be possible to see 5 planets in the early morning sky but I live where there is too much "light pollution" to see them. In the fall I will travel to a better location for viewing though I don't think I will see all 5.
