Menoturals; Saturday Sounds Of Nature

When Jade and I were out walking, we'd often be greeted by these cheerful chappies. Willie Wagtails are commonly seen in OZ... from backyards to sports ovals to creeksides... they always bring a smile with their restless dancing as they hunt for insects and wiggle those tails! They have quite a pretty voice, too. Here are your few moments of tranquillity for the day...

    Just listen to that happy fellow.
    I have ordered all the paraphernalia for my cat. Now I need two busy daughters to find a free weekend to go rescue a geriatric cat. Won't this bird delight it.

    The Willie Wagtail is a pretty bird with a pretty sound. I would enjoy sitting in my garden listening to this bird.

    Not only is the bird delightful, so is the name. Australia surely has among the quirkiest of names for its birds - Jacky Winter also springs to mind, and Restless Flycatcher always seems delightful to me.
