What You See Is What You Get. This is a journal blog, an explore-blog, a bit of this and that blog. Sharing where the mood takes me. Perhaps it will take you too.
Menoturals; Saturday Sounds Of Nature
When Jade and I were out walking, we'd often be greeted by these cheerful chappies. Willie Wagtails are commonly seen in OZ... from backyards to sports ovals to creeksides... they always bring a smile with their restless dancing as they hunt for insects and wiggle those tails! They have quite a pretty voice, too. Here are your few moments of tranquillity for the day...

ReplyDeleteJust listen to that happy fellow.
ReplyDeleteI have ordered all the paraphernalia for my cat. Now I need two busy daughters to find a free weekend to go rescue a geriatric cat. Won't this bird delight it.
Hi Yam - gorgeous ... such a pretty tune - love it - cheers Hilary
ReplyDeletesweet sounding and cute too...
ReplyDeleteHello, YAM
ReplyDeleteThe Willie Wagtail is a pretty bird with a pretty sound. I would enjoy sitting in my garden listening to this bird.
Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, have a great weekend. PS, thank you for leaving me a comment.
That sound made Nobby (still otherwise a bit dopey) look up!
ReplyDeleteI love the name Willie Wagtail.
Cheers, Gail.
Not only is the bird delightful, so is the name. Australia surely has among the quirkiest of names for its birds - Jacky Winter also springs to mind, and Restless Flycatcher always seems delightful to me.
ReplyDeleteSo cute!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful song to wake up to and we love his name!
ReplyDeleteWillie Wagtail has a most pleasant song. And he is quite handsome too
ReplyDeleteHugs Cecilia
Cheerful chappies....I love that! What a beauty!
ReplyDeleteCool! When Mom goes out, she puts on Bird TV! When she played the Willie Wagtails song, we all turned to watch the TV! Thanks for sharing Willie with us. Purrs Marvelous Marv
ReplyDeleteWe love the "eyebrow" this bird has. Its call is sweet too.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely critter!
ReplyDeleteThat is a very bright sound that brings with it a suggestion of calm green space, trees and freshness. Xxx F
