Menoturals; Saturday Sounds Of Nature

When Jade and I were out walking, we'd often be greeted by these cheerful chappies. Willie Wagtails are commonly seen in OZ... from backyards to sports ovals to creeksides... they always bring a smile with their restless dancing as they hunt for insects and wiggle those tails! They have quite a pretty voice, too. Here are your few moments of tranquillity for the day...

  1. Just listen to that happy fellow.
I have ordered all the paraphernalia for my cat. Now I need two busy daughters to find a free weekend to go rescue a geriatric cat. Won't this bird delight it.

  6. Not only is the bird delightful, so is the name. Australia surely has among the quirkiest of names for its birds - Jacky Winter also springs to mind, and Restless Flycatcher always seems delightful to me.
