I do still have the photographer's eye, though, and can be quite a harsh self-critic. Using Gopika, the Pixel 7, has very quickly become intensely convenient - but I am not entirely happy with the results. There is some distortion that appears to lean shots a tad to the right when I know that the instrument was level... Anyhow, for better or worse, here are the first ten from my selection to share.

Me-Now-Views; Less Speak More Peek
Chichester Cathedral today and next Tuesday; twenty shots in all and by no means all, at all... 🫣 That's the difference between old-style film photography and this in-phone magic mayhem. Then, one had to assess the shot from all angles, check the lighting levels, and gauge the framing. At most, one might use three frames of film for a special item. Mostly, though, it was once and wait, hoping that when developed, the desired image appeared. Now, it's all instant and no limit to the number of shots.

I see the lean you referenced. My phone is a 4a and I am quite satisfied with the pictures it makes.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous pics!
ReplyDeleteThe cathedral is gorgeous with beautiful stonework and stained glass windows!
ReplyDeleteOnce in a while someone will remark to me when looking at one of my pictures that I got the composition just right. I didn’t. I pointed the camera, clicked a dozen times and one of the pictures turned out well. At times a digital camera can make maestros of all of us.
ReplyDeletethe digital thing is what I love the most, in the past, with film, I never knew what I had or if it was blurred until I paid tohave the film developed. I agree with you and David, just click a few and one will be perfect. I like your photos just the way they are, beautiful and detailed and I am visiting a place I will never see with my own eyes. Just like Davids Birds, birds I will never see. the cathedral is just gorgeous and I wish I had $5 for every ARCH in the building. wow!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous YAM!!! Your photographer's eye worked overtime on these.
ReplyDeleteHugs Cecilia
No doubt, you do have a photographer's eye. Have a great time.
ReplyDeleteWonderfully composed! While I really enjoy the photos my phone takes....I still like the images from my Nikon better.
ReplyDeleteHi Yam - you've done really well - I love Chichester Cathedral ... so much history ... cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful cathedral. We wish we could see it in person.
ReplyDeleteNicely captured to share with those unable to be there! Did not mean to create a rhyme but will do it one more time. I suspect one of those photos may become a puzzle, too. As of last evening I believe I have worked all your latest puzzles that show up as just added. namaste, janice xx
