Same with people; one well-known face leaves the board, only to be followed by another two, or three, or more.
There is a tendency to notice this more when it affects us in a saddening way. But the same can happen with positive and uplifting things. I admit that for a couple of weeks this month, I was not feeling at the top of my game. Tigger's passing touched me more deeply than I might have expected - as much because I became so fond of his peeps and felt for them, too. Then things came along to lift me out of the funk; a surprise email from Mac2 (not usually one to be in touch just for the sake of it); a lovely long video chat with Gail and with Aitch at two ends of the same week; the crochet project appearing out of nowhere and going along apace, proving I am good for that at least... and then there was the link to a recipe which took me to an online magazine I would never normally peruse - but where I found a whole raft of newly minted capital 'ell' Love quotes that I can share with you for a few weeks! I needed the inspiration (and reminder), and it arrived at the perfect moment.
F wrote about 'coincidence' the other day - I like to think in terms of serendipity. Everything in the universe - including the capital 'ell' Love - is energy exerting itself upon matter. The matter itself doesn't matter, but the energy does. Energy, like everything else that flows, forms eddies and whirlpools and lagoons. The matter, dependent upon energy to give it any purpose, is bound to find itself in areas where there are 'coagulations' of similar other matter.
Anyway, starting next week, there will be some fresh quotes to give us all a little lift. Oh - and the recipe? Ricotta Rollups in Creamy Pumpkin Sauce from the Real Simple website. Minus the garlic, this is definitely going to be given a workout!
One thing that keeps me going is hope. Serendipity has ample space too.
ReplyDeleteThings do happen in a roll...and Fate can have her fun with us, otherwise known as a Cosmic Chuckle!
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteThings do seem to happen in threes, it is strange. I enjoy inspiring quotes. The recipe sounds yummy too.
Happy Sunday, have a wonderful week!
this sounds like you fell down a rabbit hole that took you all kinds of places. Happy you found the new quotes and a recipe you like. I have always known bad things seem to happy in clusters, 3 or more, but never thought about good things do the same thing. so glad you got the good cluster. I too was effected by Tigger's passing, even though i never met him, I know it had to be even worse having held him and been with him for a few days. he was an amazing cat
ReplyDeleteTo tell you the truth, I haven’t noticed this coming in threes, but I suspect it’s a human contrivance to link events in a series. Yesterday I had Stilton cheese, a glass of Malbec and a cannoli. Now there’s a great trio!
ReplyDeleteI hope you see the rainbows soon! We've been a bit down. I think things do happen in 3s! Take care, you are loved! XX
ReplyDeleteSending you lots of Capital ell YAM. And I truly understand you felt at Tigger's passing. I'm thankful you had a lovely 2 weeks being his staff.

Well this is a useful coincidence. I happen to have somehow amassed an arborio rice surplus, so a yummy sounding risotto recipe is just the thing!
ReplyDeleteCheers, Gail.
Energy ebbs and flows, whirlpools and eddies....I'm really pleased to read that you have amassed a significant number of positive energy connections this week. I'm doing emotional doggy paddle for a while (head above water stuff), and tearing into a few dramatic changes about the place to keep the body busy (the garden has been overdue some attention). I'll check out that recipe too....
ReplyDeleteWe are feeling the challenges are coming in 33 - 2023 has not been a nice year. However, in spite the challenges, we have been blessed with being surrounded by capital el Love - most notably last week. It really helped us realize, that is really all we have to give and it matters more than we think. Thanks for all your extra love this week. Lee and Phod and their peeps
ReplyDeleteThere sure have been some sad times lately but we're glad to hear you have had some uplifting things come your way too.
