What You See Is What You Get. This is a journal blog, an explore-blog, a bit of this and that blog. Sharing where the mood takes me. Perhaps it will take you too.
Hi Yam - how right you are ... people do not listen, nor think before answering ... I'm sure I fall into that trap too - in fact I know I do! Cheers Hilary
one of my worst flaws is this. I am so very guilty of this, listening to reply, I am even guilty of reading to reply.. thanks for the reminder. I find it difficult to listen. in meetings, at church, and I can not listen to a talking book at all. I find myself critiquing the person reading the book and deciding in my head how I would read.. do the same with speakers in meetings.
Based on the replies above this is acknowledged as a universal condition, so I accept that I do it too, even though I have never pondered it for a moment.
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS THIS IS VERY VERY TRUE. I will say I work on my listening skills daily, because an excess of listening DNA not found in the ladies in my family. We all talk A LOT. YAM I know you are giggling. Recently, when talking to favorite sis of Angel Madi...I was really listening. She said Ma are you there. LOL I said yes I'm listening. Hugs Cecilia
Lady catches herself doing this - and it is hard because sometimes she needs to reply (work stuff) - or share information - but she is trying to get better at just listening. Lee and Phod who are the best listeners
Hardest thing to discipline myself to do. Listen, do not think about a response. namaste, janice xx
ReplyDeleteExcellent observation and all too true.
ReplyDeleteTrue, and I have at times been guilty!
ReplyDeleteCheers, Gail.
