Yesterday saw the letter "K" in the Martha Simpson affirmation alphabet. (Please note that this series has been given its own label here, of 'ABReflctions'.)
For the letter "L", we are advised to 'let it go'... and I am immediately reminded of a wonderful ditty by Michael Leunig, which deserves another airing here, too...
Of late....there has not been much going on to let go of...ground hog day 7 days a week.
ReplyDeleteI guess I could say let go of my constant search for t.p. Currently it is available w/o a problem

ReplyDeleteLetting go can be scary and hard. Something else I strive to be better at.
ReplyDeleteOh, that is a very good one. Letting go is not easy, but once we do it, we realize it really wasn't so bad after all.
ReplyDeleteOh, letting go is a huge weakness of mine. I hate deciding to let things go but it often helps get life back to a manageable level.
ReplyDeletethat is the hardest lesson... and we sadly often fight for something what anyway not works... and we did better with letting in go before we spend too much energy...
ReplyDeleteHaving let go of paid employment at the end of February, and with no more elderly parent worries, I love having plenty of time to do the things I enjoy (within the Covid restriction limits of course) and at this stage in life I am appreciating not having to do too much juggling. This of course can change!
ReplyDeleteWhen your days are full to jammers you do tend to think there must be something you can let go of - if you only had time to sit down and think about which thing it will be.
ReplyDeleteWhat I need to let go of is control freakery. Wanting to fix things. :) Learn to coexist peacefully with broken stuff. Practice makes perfect.
ReplyDeleteBeing gainfully unemployed, not even a client, my days are pretty slow.
ReplyDeleteI find myself going back over the mistakes I've made. It is just nuts. I am trying to push that out of my brain and try focus on something more positive. This is a good one, Yam.
Life is all about 'letting go' and when I do I am always amazed at what happens ~ ^_^

The term, 'let it go' brought to mind my great niece singing that song when she was about 20 months old. She had the foot stomp down perfectly! I have let go of so much since relocating to be near our only child. Not only were physical things but, also, many activities. As the grandchildren have outgrown the needs for grandparent's help I find myself looking for new things to fill the hours. namaste, janice xx
